Dozens of Iranian tourism companies on Wednesday attended the opening session of the 45th International Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid, Spain.
The global tourism exhibition held an inauguration ceremony today in presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Spain Hassan Qashqavi accompanied by Faezeh Behzadnejad, a senior official from tourism ministry.
The event is among the most well-known international exhibitions in the field of tourism which hosts over 11,000 companies from 165 countries across the globe this year.
Some 35 Iranian tourism companies attended the exhibition to demonstrate Iran’s tourist attractions and capacities and are to hold joint forums with leaders of the business from around the globe.
Iranian Ambassador to Spain Hassan Ghashghavi and Director General of International Affairs in Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) Behzadnejad paid a visit to this exhibition.
Iranian travel agencies along with tour leaders are participating at FITUR with the aim of introducing Iran’s tourism attractions to the world.
FITUR is one of the most renowned fairs in the tourism industry.
The event kicked off on Wednesday 22 January and will wrap up on 26 January. 11,040 companies from 165 countries are showcasing their latest services related to the tourism industry to the visitor.
FITUR is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound markets in Latin America. At its staging, FITUR broke all previous participation records with 10,487 companies from 165 countries and regions, 142,642 trade visitors and 110,848 visitors from the general public.
